Housed in a metal enclosure, the matched pair of CEntrance's PivotMic PM1 XY Stereo Condenser Recording Microphones can be used to transform your MixerFace R4 ( sold separately ) into a professional field recording device for broadcast, live streaming, podcasting, and interview applications.

They are paired with the Jasmine preamps in the recorder, resulting in tightly controlled frequency response and low self-noise. PivotMics can reproduce the full dynamic range of a symphony hall, from the quietest passages to the highest notes. These mics deliver clear sound with solid bass and extended highs.

Low Noise, High Performance, High Quality
With an extended frequency response, the PM1 delivers true-to-life, transparent reproduction of the original sound source. A wide dynamic range allows the PM1 to handle high sound pressure levels (SPL) associated with drums, percussion, and ensembles, while a low self-noise level lets you use it in quiet environments, such as nature recordings. The cardioid polar pattern reduces pickup of unwanted background noise.

Small Form Factor
Each PivotMic plugs into the female XLR combo jack of the MixerFace ( sold separately ), virtually disappearing due to their short length of just 2 inches, creating a compact, professional recording solution. PivotMic PM1 microphones can also be used with an XLR cable. They add little weight, so they can be used suspended above a theater stage or in any other production where a small, unobtrusive condenser microphone with wide dynamic range and frequency response is needed.

Modern technology
Each PivotMic PM1 features Class-A, transformerless preamplifier circuitry that eliminates crossover distortion for improved linearity across the full frequency range. Durable construction withstands daily use on stage or in the field. Integrated “blow” protection grille reduces plosives and other breath sounds when microphones are used close to the subject/performer.

Interview Mode
PivotMics can rotate in two directions. In the standard configuration, you get a precisely matched XY stereo pair. However, by removing the microphones from their XLR sockets, rotating them 180° and plugging them in the opposite direction, you can turn your MixerFace into a great interview tool.
