The Keystage goes beyond feel with support for both channel and polyphonic Aftertouch and MPE (MIDI Polyphonic Expression). Keystage officially integrates with Ableton Live, one of the most popular DAWs in the industry, putting both transport and device control at your fingertips. The go-to choice for live musicians, Live’s innovative dual Session/Arrangement view, seamless clip triggering, looping, and powerful production tools cater to a myriad of musical styles.

Keystage offers deep integration with Ableton Live, giving you seamless control over Live's transport features and device control.

Device control allows Keystage to detect the currently active device in Live and then automatically match it to the first 8 parameters! Keystage dynamically reconfigures itself in real-time for a seamless, fluid experience that keeps you in the moment when switching devices.

Both Ableton Live and Keystage are MPE compatible, providing enhanced flexibility and creative possibilities in your music. Live's powerful Drift synthesizer (available in version 11.3) leverages MPE to deliver even greater expressive capabilities.

MIDI 2.0 is one of the most exciting developments in electronic music production in decades. But what exactly is it?

MIDI Association explains on its official website that MIDI 2.0 means bidirectional MIDI communication. Until now, MIDI 1.0 messages went in one direction: from transmitter to receiver. MIDI 2.0 is bidirectional and transforms MIDI from monologue to dialogue.

Thanks to new MIDI-CI (Capability Inquiry) messages, MIDI 2.0 devices can communicate with each other and automatically configure themselves to be interoperable.

Keystage uses MIDI-CI Property Exchange messages to communicate with other devices. It receives information such as which Control Change (CC) parameters should be connected and the appropriate names to display for each parameter. This information means that Keystage can communicate with a wide range of MIDI 2.0 compatible devices and exchange information in both directions. This exciting feature extends not only to software plug-ins like those found on Keystage, but also to hardware devices!

Because MIDI 2.0 Property Exchange is compatible with MIDI DIN cables, Keystage opens up opportunities for seamless integration with existing devices, opening up new and exciting possibilities on the horizon.

Additionally, Keystage has no backward compatibility issues. It can continue to communicate using MIDI 1.0 with devices that do not support MIDI 2.0.

Keystage includes the "Korg Gadget Producer Package": a version equipped with most of the features and gadgets offered by the Korg Gadget 2 software. *

The deep integration between Korg Gadget and Keystage allows for automatic synchronization of Gadget's parameters to the Keystage, as well as expanded transport control to make Gadget even easier and faster to use.
