At the heart of EVE Audio 3-way monitors is the concept of effectively increasing the efficiency of your speakers by distributing frequencies equally across all drivers.
In the SC305 model, one driver only reproduces frequencies up to 350Hz and exhibits a "bass" character, while the other driver reproduces a wider range up to the cut-off frequency of 3000Hz and exhibits a more "bass-mid" character.
This design provides a more efficient sound transmission by making each driver perform a more effective physical work and creating less mechanical movement. Both bass drivers use the 5" SilverCone driver used in the company's exclusive SC205 model, and since both drivers work simultaneously, they provide a wider frequency response down to 50Hz.
Using AMT RS2 as a treble driver, the SC305 provides more power and efficiency than the AMT treble driver thanks to its larger front plate and internal magnet.
While the 3 50W PWM amplifiers in its cabinet will easily provide you with the power you want, the details in its technical features and the meticulousness in its design will make the SC305 a product frequently mentioned in the monitor world.
Bass Port Design
It’s all in the geometry. One of the negative effects of port compression is bass distortion. As you turn up the volume, the efficiency of the port decreases and distortion increases. For our bass port designs, we chose a large rear rectangular port with no hard edges. This is one of the reasons why EVE monitors have high efficiency at low frequencies. The results? High sound pressures with tight, punchy bass frequencies without port distortion. Turn up the volume and EVE will give you the best bass.
