A condenser microphone for studio applications, one that works off the EF86 pentode tube. It has the warmth of a classic tube microphone and a continuously variable polar pattern that can be accessed from the accompanying power supply. Whether you need a cardioid pattern for vocal recording, an omnidirectional pattern to capture the sound of a room, or anything else, this microphone's variable pattern will give you excellent recordings.
The microphone itself delivers a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz from its dual, gold-sputtered, 6-micron diaphragm. The microphone also offers a -10 dB pad for noise cancellation and a selectable high-pass filter at 125 Hz, 12 dB/octave. It lets you dial in patterns as needed via the power supply.
The microphone connects via a 7-pin connector, so it ships with a 15' 7-pin cable that plugs into the power supply. Also included is 1x 15' XLR-male/XLR-female cable to connect the microphone to your preamp, 1x shockmount, 1x aluminum pop filter, 1x cleaning cloth, and 1x the power supply itself.
