What is a djembe?
Djembe is a percussion instrument of African origin, with a goblet-shaped body covered with animal skin. It is usually played by squeezing it between the legs or hanging it over the shoulder with a strap.
How to play the djembe?
Place the djembe between your legs, using your ankles for support. For high-pitched salp tones, strike the edges of the djembe with your hands open. For stronger bass sounds, strike the center of the djembe.
Using these strokes, find your own rhythm by alternating between your right and left hands.
