Our newly developed ULTRA BUFFER feature

Pitchblack X Pro has a built-in ULTRA BUFFER.

Why is this important?

Most electric guitars use passive pickups with a high-impedance output. When using a cable, after about 6 m (about 18 ft.), there is usually a loss of tone at high frequencies, and this problem gets worse the longer your cable is. A buffer boosts the signal over long cables, keeping the signal clean and clear to prevent tone loss even when your pedal is off.

ULTRA BUFFER improves sound quality in bypass mode, so you can maintain sound quality even when you connect a long cable to the tuner or plug the tuner into a complex effects board.

Designed for wide range setups

This tuner comes with rack mount adapters that can be easily removed. In addition to mounting this tuner on a rack, you can also attach the rack mount adapters to the bottom of the unit and use them as a stand to place the unit on the floor.

Additionally, output jacks are available on both the rear and front panels, making it easy to integrate the Tuner into your effects panel.

Coloured LEDs provide excellent visibility

With this tuner you have a choice of colored LEDs for exceptional visibility.
Available colors include blue to red gradient, green to red gradient, and monochromatic gradient for cyan, green, and blue, with a total of five color types.
This allows you to choose colors and color combinations that suit your tastes, according to studio or stage lighting and to suit the color atmosphere.

Ultra-high tuning accuracy of up to ±0.1 cents

The Pitchblack X Pro offers extremely precise and accurate tuning with an accuracy of ±0.1 cents in Strobe mode, making it ideal for situations where tuning must be absolutely accurate when performing or recording.

Four measurement display modes

Choose from four types of meter displays to suit your needs. In addition to the typical "Normal" mode, you can use "Strobe" and "Half Beat" modes to show changes in pitch according to the direction and speed at which the meter is flowing, to distinguish even the most subtle differences in pitch; and you can use "Mirror" mode to see the two LEDs on the left and right intersect towards the centre as you tune your instrument

Features a built-in "just in tune" display

The Pitchblack X Pro features a new “just in tune” display feature that causes the triangular LEDs on either side to flash when the tuning is correct, helping to make tuning a stress-free experience.

An extremely useful cable control function

By connecting a standard cable to the INPUT 1 and CABLE CHECK jacks, you can use KORG's own special "cable checker" function to see if the cable is shorted. This feature helps detect potential problems and prevent cable problems on stage or in the studio.
