Ukiyo-E Chorus
UKIYO-E CHORUS (NCH-4) is a mini chorus pedal with 3 different chorus models: ST Chorus, SCH-1 and CE-1. You can change the models by touching the touch switch. Old-school Analog Chorus has always been hot, but it has been hungry for dynamic completion.
NUX’s state-of-the-art DSP offers a perfect combination of both worlds: analog and digital. In order to achieve all of the UKIYO-E Chorus goals, our engineers had to develop an algorithm that emulates the principles of the BBD chips, the main component of the Analog Chorus effects. The UKIYO-E’s active low frequency provides the Traditional Analog Chorus Tone that discerning ears expect from a true analog chorus pedal. Dynamic Tone and Noise Removal put the UKIYO-E in a completely separate category from cheap analog pedals.
Large-scale BBD quality chips have become incredibly rare, so this method is impractical for making an affordable analog chorus device. Using DSP technology, NUX can offer a mini pedal with a contrasting chorus tone array.

ST Chorus is inspired by the amazing-sounding MXR® Stereo Chorus. We've consolidated the controls by eliminating the bass and treble knobs, which are now internally set to the middle position, and eliminated the need for a bass filter altogether, which is now automatically corrected by advances in Core-Image™ audio modeling.
The SCH-1 pays homage to the ARION® SCH-1, one of the best-sounding classic analog choruses, producing an incredible range of authentic tones—everything from a subtle, clean chorus to a highly realistic Leslie effect.
The CE-1 is based on the legendary BOSS® CE-1, the first chorus effect pedal to hit the scene in 1976. Before that, it was only available as a built-in effect on a classic jazz amplifier. The UKIYO-E mimics the characteristics of that pedal exactly; that special warmth of a rich jazz atmosphere, an emphasis that is immediately noticeable in every musician's tone.
