How Does It Work?

By using hybrid circuits we have created completely unique preamp and poweramp distortion characteristics! You will not believe your ears when you hear the organic and warm tones of the Nux Brownie!

Brownie has a specially designed BJT input stage. This input stage provides the distortion that the preamp tubes enter when they are forced. Also, with the asymmetric clipping circuit, it is very easy to obtain the tones of real tube amplifiers! With it, you can obtain the lower frequencies tightly and without muddying!

The Nux Brownie features low-pass tone filters that create a Variac effect. This allows you to shape the high frequencies in your tone with very smooth transitions! The range of the tone control is specifically designed to shape the high frequencies!

The clipping circuit is made with modern low noise op-amps and 2 red LEDs! This symmetrical clipping provides a balanced and clean, smooth and clear tone by distorting the original signal by half. The True Bypass circuit with high quality TDPD switches does not degrade the sound quality in the signal chain even when the pedal is not engaged!
