TRUTHEAR PRESENTS YOU ITS BRAND NEW HYBRID PENTA DRIVER IEM - NOVA
Hailing from China and a relatively new player in the audio industry, Truthear has been known for two well-received IEMs, the Truthear Zero and the recently launched Truthear Hexa. Building on the momentum, they now add a new product to their lineup: the Nova. The Nova is a hybrid driver IEM featuring a combination of 1 dynamic driver (DD) and 4 balanced armature (BA) drivers, all seamlessly integrated with a 3-way crossover composite structure. The Truthear Nova’s tuning complies with Harman IE 2019 and Harman OE 2013 standards, focusing on achieving clear and natural sound. The shells were designed in collaboration with HeyGears and manufactured using the latest DLP 3D printing technology for enhanced comfort and a secure fit. To complete the package, the Nova comes with multiple sets of ear tips and a newly designed single crystal copper wire cable for an immersive listening experience.

HYBRID DRIVE CONFIGURATION WITH 3-WAY CROSSOVER COMPOSITE STRUCTURE
The Truthear Nova is an in-ear monitor (IEM) that uses a custom 10mm dynamic driver (1DD) to handle bass frequencies. This dynamic driver uses a composite liquid crystal dome diaphragm with polyurethane suspension and a dual-cavity internal magnetic circuit driven by an N52 magnet. In addition to the dynamic driver, the Nova includes a larger-sized dual balanced armature driver that is responsible for the midrange and part of the treble frequencies. This driver has been carefully tuned to complement the frequency range of the custom dynamic driver. In addition, the Nova includes a custom composite dual balanced armature driver similar to the SWFK series that focuses on delivering treble frequencies. This complex combination expands the overall bandwidth.

CAREFULLY TUNED TO DELIVER A HIGHLY INTERESTING AND NATURAL SOUND
The Truthear Nova is tuned following the Harman IE 2019 curve, with a slightly lower emphasis on bass. It closely matches the high-frequency amplitude response specified in the Harman OE 2013 target, emphasizing high HRTF characteristics. This approach provides a warm, smooth, clear, and natural sound attributed to an all-new system design that lowers the Q value. Additionally, the Nova uses a high-precision DLP-3D printing technology to create an acoustic waveguide structure with filtering function. These elements allow the five drivers to perform optimally under different acoustic waveguides, bringing the Nova’s objective performance closer to the design target set for the Hexa model. By maintaining consistent phase across the frequency spectrum, the Nova avoids common coupling issues that can occur in many multi-driver headphones, resulting in a natural sound with minimal phase distortion.

ERGONOMICLY DESIGNED WITH NEW GENERATION DLP 3D PRINTED CAVITY
Truthear partnered with HeyGears, a leading name in 3D printing, to create the Nova’s shells. These shells are manufactured using HeyGears’ DLP 3D printing technology, using medical-grade high-transparency resin. This technology allows for complex acoustic waveguide structures, maintaining precision and efficiency during the printing process. It also ensures that the lightweight cavity is not only comfortable to wear, but also made from skin-friendly and reliable materials. The Nova features an ergonomic design developed for a snug fit, with a high-precision 3D printed tissue panel featuring a sandwich-like structure consisting of a front cavity, a smoothly curved cover, and a few drops of glue to seal the seams. This design promises a sturdy and reliable structure while providing an aesthetically pleasing front face.

COMES WITH MULTIPLE SETS OF EAR TIPS AND A HIGH-QUALITY CABLE
In addition to traditional thin ear tips, Truthear Nova also features short bi-flange and long bi-flange ear tips, as well as foam ear tips equipped with multiple limiters. The use of bi-flange ear tips effectively shifts the resonance peak of high frequencies backwards, resulting in exceptionally clear and crisp highs. This adjustment helps eliminate the effects caused by the resonance peak, providing a listening experience similar to the classic ER4 single balanced armature driver, but with Nova’s high-frequency performance. Nova is equipped with a versatile 0.78 2Pin interface and ear hooks for length and angle adjustment. It features a newly designed single crystal copper wire with a robust wire coating material, providing excellent sound quality and user comfort. In addition, this design allows for endless possibilities by allowing cable customization and offering a variety of cable options.
