Inspired by the tone and midrange of the VOX AC30, the Mystic Edge transcends the amp-in-a-box category to deliver a truly flexible valve distortion pedal. The all-analog signal path and Nutube deliver real boost and distortion tones with the feel of a real tube amp, while the internally amplified voltage provides more headroom and dynamics. The OLED display also shows an oscilloscope when the pedal is active or bypassed, letting you understand exactly how your signal is being affected.
Three output modes let you use it as a standard stompbox, a line-level preamp, and a direct amp simulator with the built-in analog cabinet simulator. Use STANDARD mode with your regular guitar rig to completely transform your amp, or use PREAMP or CAB-SIM mode when recording directly through your audio interface. In each mode, the all-analog design and active EQ let you perfectly dial in the sound you need in any situation.
The Channel Link feature allows you to link two or more Valvenergy pedals together via the link jack on each pedal. Using a standard 1/8” stereo cable connects 2 pedals, and using a stereo 1/8” splitter connects 3 or 4 pedals. This feature allows you to turn on one pedal while bypassing the others, just as if you were switching between channels on a guitar amp.
These pedals feature a high-contrast OLED display with an oscilloscope, which is a visual representation of how the sound wave is affected by the knob settings on it. This display also shows which mode you are currently using.
