Few guitarists have had as much of an impact on the origins of thrash metal as Gary Holt. Joining Bay Area band Exodus with his friend Kirk Hammett in 1981, Gary has written and performed on every Exodus album to date. When Slayer needed someone qualified to replace iconic guitarist Jeff Hanneman for their latest album and tour, Gary was the obvious choice. Gary Holt, known for his work with Exodus and Slayer, is a legend in the thrash metal world. The LTD GH SV-200 is Gary’s own design and is built to handle the most aggressive, fast and powerful playing styles. The tone comes from the red-covered ESP LH-301 pickups. The Bolt-On neck-body connection, mahogany neck and roasted jatoba fingerboard make it easy to reach the upper frets. The guitar has a distinctive look with red bindings around the body, neck and headstock.
