The VOX Cambridge50 is a bold statement that opens up new possibilities in a modeling guitar amplifier. It features an open-back cabinet equipped with a Nutube for real distortion and response, and a 12" Celestion speaker for classic VOX tone. Its simple design lets you easily change settings on the front of the amp or save your favorite settings in the preset slots. With 11 types of amp models, 8 onboard effects, and a built-in tuner, this amp is perfect for a variety of applications and every style of music.

The proprietary VET (Virtual Element Technology) provides an unprecedented degree of realism. In addition to the amp models, the original circuitry itself has been redesigned by carefully modeling how the sound is affected by the wooden cabinet and the response of the 12" speaker. In addition to the classic AC30, this single unit gives you the sounds of a variety of amplifiers, including well-known tube amps, modern high-gain amps and rare boutique amps. A LINE input is also provided to support acoustic-electric guitars and keyboards, further expanding the scope of this unit.

Eight effect types
There’s a generous collection of effect types that are essential for shaping your sound. Both modulation and delay/reverb can be used simultaneously, and each offers four types of options, giving you a total of eight effects. This gives you full control over shaping your guitar sound. There’s also a tap button so you can intuitively adjust the delay time and other parameters.
Open-back cabinet equipped with Celestion VX12 speakers
The VOX Cambridge50 features a Celestion VX12 speaker that takes full advantage of the 50W output. The rear of the unit uses an open-back structure that delivers the open and clear sound you'd expect from a 12-inch speaker.
Equipped with Nutube
The VOX Cambridge50 features the next-generation vacuum tube, Nutube. Using electroluminescence technology that shares the same structure as a traditional vacuum tube, Nutube has been featured in a variety of products from VOX and other brands. The distortion and compression feel you expect from a vacuum tube, even the response and playing feel, perfectly capture the feeling of playing with a vacuum tube. In addition to a lightweight design that cannot be achieved by a traditional vacuum tube amplifier, Nutube brings additional advantages such as being maintenance-free and cost-effective.
USB audio interface
The VOX Cambridge50 features a USB audio interface that lets you connect to your computer via USB and record Nutube audio directly. In addition to enjoying your performance, this unit is perfect for integrating into your home recording setup.
Tone Room editor/librarian software offers a higher level of convenience
Tone Room supports the editor/librarian software VOX Cambridge50. You can use it to access parameters not accessible from the unit itself and store your settings in a library. In addition to Mac/Windows, iOS/Android is also supported, allowing easy access via USB.
Add a foot switch for more features
The VFS5 foot switch, available separately, lets you use your foot to change programs. When the footswitch is connected, the program memory expands to eight. This provides excellent support for your stage performances.
JamVOX III modeling software suite
You can enjoy playing guitar on your PC with the included JamVOX III modeling software. Take advantage of the GXT feature that lets you extract, highlight, or remove a specific part from an existing song, and use the music player function to play a loop of a song you're learning or practicing, and even change the tempo. ASIO drivers are supported, so you can record and play with software other than JamVOX III, such as a DAW or guitar amp simulator.
