The Vox AC30 is a combo amplifier that has remained iconic over the years, powering the classic British sound of the 1960s. True to the design of the classic AC30, the AC30C2X has been designed to be the best AC30 design in Vox's history, with the added features that are needed today. It has two channels: Normal and Top Boost. Each channel has its own Volume control, and the Top Boost channel has interactive Treble and Bass tone controls. Both channels are linked to the Tone Cut and Volume controls in the Master section. The Tone Cut control works more as a power than a preamp, shaping the tone. The Master Volume control works with each channel's individual volume levels to create just the right amount of gain. The classic Vox tremolo effect can be used to sweeten the sound of the amp. The speed and depth can be adjusted to make it easier to get the sound you want. There’s also Spring Reverb to add width to the sound. The AC30C2X also features additional tone controls in the Reverb section. Like all Custom series amps, the Vox VFS-2 footswitch can be used, which allows you to turn the Reverb and Tremolo effects on and off while still playing. There’s also an effects loop for adding your favorite effects to the sound. A true “Bypass” switch can disable the entire effects loop. 3 x 12AX7 preamp tubes and 4 x EL84 tubes provide 30 Watts of power. It has two 12" Celestion Alnico Blue speakers. Like all models in the Custom series, there is an output jack that can be set to 8/16 ohms to drive an external speaker cabinet. In addition, a 2nd auxiliary speaker jack allows the use of a 16 ohm cabinet alongside the internal speakers for fuller sound.
